Postumus, Romano-Gallic Emperor, 260-269. Antoninianus (Billon, 20 mm, 3.68 g, 12 h), Treveri, mid 268. IMP C POSTVMVS P F AVG Radiate, draped and cuirassed bust of Postumus to right. Rev. REST ORBIS Postumus, in military attire, standing right, holding long scepter with his left hand and raising a female figure (Orbis Terrarum) kneeling to left before him, holding a cornucopiae in her left hand. AGK (corr.) 75. Cunetio -. Elmer 592. RIC V.4 414. Rare and unusually well preserved. Struck from a somewhat worn obverse die on a slightly short flan, otherwise, good very fine.

The beautifully crafted reverse die depicts the emperor in remarkable detail, dressed in military attire. Even his head is individualized, with a laurel wreath and beard, strongly reminiscent of the aurei of the emperor.
